山中 透 Toru Yamanaka

Artist / music composer・producer・DJ

Born in Osaka, Japan. As a music composer, producer, club DJ and organizer, Yamanaka has collaborated with various artists around the world.From 1984 to 2000, he joined the Japanese performance group Dumb Type as a musicSingaporean theater director Ong Keng Sen.2010, joined the performance group “MuDA”composer and sound designer. Since 2000, Yamanaka has been collaborating with2009,He started to work with the dance company in Kyoto,the Monochrome Circus.From 2020 he has resumed activity as a member of Dumb Type.

内海 潤也 Junya Utsumi

Curator of Contemporary Art

Born in Tokyo, 1990. Completed MA and won the Larus Prize at the Department of Arts Studies and Curatorial Practices, Graduate School of Global Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, 2018. Completed the internship of Tokyo Photographic Art Museum 2017. Studying at the MA course, he organized several projects such as an exhibition, talk session, and screening events. His main interest lies in Biennales, gender and politics. The exhibitions and events he dealt with include Switch Room (Tokyo Art Fair 2018, as a co-curator), Nagashima Yurie: And a Pinch of Irony with a Hint of Love (Tokyo Photographic ArtMuseum, 2017, as an intern), S/N Screening and Talk Session (Tokyo, 2017).

竹内 祥訓  Yoshinori Takeuchi

Artist / VJ ・ Video 

Born in Kyoto, 1989. Working as a VJ and video artist. Graduated from the Media Arts department of Kyoto Seika University, measuring Printmaking. He has been engaged with several projects mainly through video production: for instance, video direction in “MuDA”, a contemporary dance collective based in Kyoto. Given a Sponsorship Award in the projection mapping competition of the “Okazaki Tokiakari 2014” that was held at Kyoto City Museum of Art. Besides, shooting and creating visual effects for the music video of “Toki no Hi”, a song by Yuki Ōtake in 2018.

Artist / Sound&Media

Based on a theme of relationship between technology and sound, he creates his works in different approaches. Since 1990s, he created music by DAW and released songs from King Street Sounds, NYC. Further, he contributed research and development of electric music instrument in instrument company. He created media works using programing; for example, “Hikari Record” that generates sound with crystal, and “In the frame” that generates sound with flickering light of candle frame. He showed his works in ZKM, Germany, SCOPE Art Show, Miami, and Star Gallery, Beijin.

小池 陽子  Yoko Koike Representative

Artist / dancer・choreographer

Yoko Koike started her career as a ballet dancer and moved her field of practice into contemporary dance in 2008 to undertake her creative process in exploring the sensitivity of a physical body and senses. She incorporates the idea of Feldenkrais Method into the practice based on her background in ballet. Over the years, Yoko built her career as a dancer and a choreographer by taking part in a number of performances and festivals in Asia, Middle East and Europe. Working in the field of art including music, visual arts, literature, Feldenkrais Method and Butoh have led to her own expression of work. Alongside her practice, Yoko has been a part-time lecturer at Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences since 2019 and currently pursuing her research in exploring new ways of artistic expression beyond the constraints of dance practice at Kyoto University of Arts.  https://yokokoike.com
